 Gavin G. Bilby was among some of the earliest creations by Dr Nitrus Brio. He was an experiment to see how evolution works with an elderly animal, especially to see if it could 'expand' their short animal lifespans if you will, and it worked. Dr Brio had no idea how long 'evolved' bilbies & bandicoots could live, so he was part of an experiment to find out more on the subject.

Gavin came out to be a really wise and gentle creature, often seen with the aid of a large walking stick which he could also use effectively for self defense. Cortex didn't see him as useful though, quickly dismissing him as a useless old mutant and so he was assigned to be the 'babysitter' for the young anthro experiments, those known as Crunch, Kris, Pinstripe, Hayden and Tawna. But what Cortex didn't know was that Gavin had vast knowledge of martial arts and defense. He was even able to take down and disable Koala Kong when he threatened to pummel one of the young mutants to a pump who he was taking care of. Despite his older age and less muscular stature.
A young Crunch admired how great he was at self defense, so he wanted to be trained by Gavin to become a great fighter someday.

Gavin also had vast knowledge of his species and other Australian animals, teaching Crunch and their fellow mutants that they should do their best to keep their species alive, and that perhaps evolution may be the only way they could survive in a world like today.
Gavin also disagreed with Dr Cortex's evil schemes - and found them to be ridiculous, but he knew that they should remain vigilant until the time was right to make their escape for freedom...

Finally, I can reveal my new character, Gavin G. Bilby!

I always wanted to create a Greater bilby character but for some reason, I never did in the old OB story. But times have changed and I've got better ideas in this day and age so, here he is. He plays an important role to Crunch's early life as you can see. He's also the complete opposite of Jaseo Bilby!

I also made him an older character with not too much muscle because well, to be honest, I get tired of too many muscled characters in the CB fandom. So I wanted to make somebody different and more meaningful.
